Overview

Ready-made agents are agents that WorkLLM has already built for you. You can add one to your workspace in a few clicks and start using it right away. You do not need to write a prompt or plan the steps yourself. Building an agent from scratch takes some thought. You decide what the task is, how it should be done, and which apps and knowledge it needs. Ready-made agents give you a head start. Each one is designed for a common task, so you can get useful results on your first day. This article explains what ready-made agents are, how to add them to your workspace, and how to make them work for your team. Once an agent is in your workspace, you can use it as it is, or edit it to match your own process.

What ready-made agents are

Ready-made agents are agents that WorkLLM has already built for common tasks. Each one comes with a prompt, a set of steps, and the apps it usually needs. You add it to your workspace, complete a few quick setup items, and run it. Think of a ready-made agent as a good starting point. Someone has already planned the task for you. You only need to connect it to your own documents and tools. Here are a few examples of what a ready-made agent can do:
  • Weekly marketing report. Pulls your website numbers from Google Analytics, summarizes what changed, and writes a short report in your brand style.
  • Sales follow-up. Looks at recent deals in your CRM and drafts a follow-up email for each one.
  • Meeting summary. Takes your meeting notes and prepares a summary with action items for your team.
Ready-made agents are made to work for most teams. This means they use popular tools, such as Google Analytics or Salesforce, and they follow a general process. Your team may work a little differently, and that is fine. You can change any step, app, or document after you add the agent.

How to use a ready-made agent

Using a ready-made agent has four parts. You add it, finish the setup, adjust it to your team, and run a test.

Step 1: Add the agent to your workspace

Every ready-made agent has a + Add to your workspace button. When you click it, WorkLLM copies the whole agent into your workspace. This includes the prompt, the steps, and the settings. The copy belongs to your workspace. You can open it, edit it, and share it with your teammates, like any agent you build yourself.

Step 2: Finish the setup

The agent is copied, but it still needs two things from you. It needs your documents and your connected apps. Without them, the agent cannot complete its steps.

Attach the documents it needs

Some steps refer to a document. For example, a step may say “Write the report following my brand guidelines.” The agent cannot see your brand guidelines yet, so you need to provide them. You can do this in two ways:
  • Attach the document directly to the step.
  • Attach it from your organization memory, if your team already keeps it there.

Connect the apps it needs

Some steps pull information from an app. For example, a step may say “Get last week’s traffic from Google Analytics.” If Google Analytics is not connected to your workspace, this step will not work. Open each step and check which app it uses. If the app is not connected, connect it first. Then the step can read your data.

Step 3: Adjust the agent to your team

Ready-made agents are built for general use, so you may want to make a few changes. You can edit any step, and you can change any app. Here are two common examples:
  • You use a different app. A ready-made agent may use Salesforce as the CRM. If your team uses HubSpot, open the step and change the app to HubSpot.
  • You use a tool that is connected through MCP. If your team keeps customer data in another system that you have connected through MCP, update the step so that it uses that tool.
You can also reword a step, remove a step, or add a new one. Make the agent match the way your team really works.

Step 4: Run a test

After you finish the setup, run the agent once and check the result. Look at each step to see if it used the right document and the right app. If something looks off, edit that step and test again. Once you are happy with the result, the agent is ready for daily use. You can run it whenever you need it, or set it to start on a schedule. Before you run a ready-made agent, check these three things:
  • Every document that a step needs is attached.
  • Every app that a step uses is connected.
  • The steps and apps match the tools your team really uses.

How to request a new ready-made agent

The library grows from what teams ask for. If a workflow matters to you and no agent covers it, you have two routes. Ask for it. Describe the job in plain language: what triggers it, which apps it touches, and what the finished output should look like. Requests that come up across several teams get built into the library. Build it in the meantime. Describe the same workflow inside your workspace and WorkLLM drafts the agent step by step for you to review and edit. If an app you need is not in the integrations list, connect it through MCP and your agents can use it without waiting for a native integration.

FAQs

  • Do I need to know about prompting for agent creation?
No. Agents come configured. You add one, save it and run it. Customization is optional.
  • What happens when I add an agent?
It is copied into your workspace as your own agent. It stays private until you choose to share it. Once you share it, the people you share it with run the current version.
  • Can I change an agent after adding it? Yes, at any time. Any step can be edited, reordered or removed, and you can change triggers, approvals, format and model choice whenever you like.
  • Will an agent send things without a person checking?
That depends on the approval setting for each app. If you keep manual approval on for an app, actions such as sending an email wait for your approval. If you set an app to always approve, its actions run without a pause for every agent that uses that app. See Approvals for actions that write data in Creating, running, and managing agents
  • Does it use our own company context?
Only the knowledge you add. An agent does not pull knowledge from anywhere on its own. Whatever you add to a step, such as Organization memory, a file, or a link, is what that step uses. See Adding knowledge to an agent in Creating, running, and managing agents.
  • What if the agent I need does not exist yet? Ask for it, or describe the workflow and build it in your workspace. Any app with MCP support can be connected so the agent can use it.
